Tricia Johnson, Ph.D., is the founder and chief executive officer of Johnson Econometric Consulting, Inc. The company was founded on the principle that data should drive decisions. The company's economic analyses provide rigorous, objective results that organizations can rely on for decision making.

Dr. Johnson, is a health economist, Director of the Center for Health Management and Policy Research, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Systems Management at Rush University and is also an Economist for Rush University Medical Group at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Johnson is a 2008-2009 Fulbright Scholar to Austria at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, working with its Department of Economics and Institute for Social Policy. She has a strong interest in understanding the drivers of health care costs and has done extensive work related to health care utilization and expenditures for people with disabilities. Particularly those related to work-related injuries.

Her research focuses on economic issues related to health care providers and consumers, including the globalization of the health care industry and understanding the economic factors affecting consumers' health care decisions. Her work has been funded by the Cardinal Health Foundation, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, National Institute on Aging, National Institute of Nursing Research, the World Bank and Albanian Ministry of Health, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Dr. Johnson earned her undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her master's degree in Hospital and Health Administration from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and her master of science and doctoral degree in Economics from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
